Most of us knew Donald Trump was disgraceful, dangerous and unstable before the election. Is it possible that his bumpy transition without a honeymoon portends that the marriage made by morons it already beginning go down in flames? I certainly hope so.
Even the better qualified elected Presidents in my memory have recognized, prior to being sworn in, that they had a lot to learn in order to be ready for the job. And all of them were very careful not to step on the toes or policies of the sitting President prior to inauguration. They were all acutely aware of the tremendous learning curve ahead of them, and extremely careful not to say or do anything that even appeared stupid.
Not so with Trump. This guy revels in shooting his mouth off and pulling absolutely anything out of his ass without the slightest interest in the facts or the truth. You’d think that someone so monumentally egotistical would at least try to appear as though he knows what he’s doing or saying. It’s like a nightmare- a very scary nightmare, but it’s actually happening, and hopefully more people are beginning to wake up to the appalling truth.
Perhaps it’s wishful thinking on my part, but it does seem that the cumulative volume of Trump’s dangerous incompetence and asininity is building and accumulating in the rather limited American consciousness. But really! How fucking stupid are we as a country?! Pretty fucking stupid to have elected this insane, walking, talking, tweeting catastrophe.
Sadly, Americans love to watch train wrecks, car wrecks, demolitions, explosions and disasters of any kind, and this one is going to be a doozy! The question is how bad does it have to get, how many people have to get hurt or killed before enough people wake up and declare, “Oh my God! This guy is stark raving nuts- and dangerous!”
And we haven’t even mentioned the multitude of bottom feeding Republicans who are looking to use the situation to advance their draconian and destructive agenda. To the extent that they succeed, they will be delivering a lot of hurt to people who are already hurting and to people who they should be protecting.
My hat is off to all the brave, good souls who are speaking out, in any capacity, against the dark and dangerous national disaster that is Donald Trump and the small army of self serving scumbags that surround him.
God help us to come to our senses and proclaim this a marriage made in hell. The honeymoon has been pretty bad for Trump. Hopefully this portends a marriage that will not survive. Trump actually does have excellent experience with bad marriages. Pray that this one will end in divorce or annulment as soon as possible.
